The two main excuses or reasons people stop exercising are: "I don’t have enough time" and lack of motivation. It sounds like lame excuses, but it's the truth. Research indicates people are far too busy with their lives and can’t fit in 30 minutes of treadmill workout or other types of exercise. Most of us work 8 to 16 hours a day, plus 1 hour of commuting time. That is more than a half of our day gone; by the time we get home. we are tired, exhausted and on top of it, it is time for the kids. We can barely mange our time, so where on earth do we fit in an exercise session? What if I tell you there is a way to cut your treadmill workout time in half, without affecting your daily schedule? That is the aim of this article. Why do one hour, when you can do it in 30 minutes? Exercising is a lifestyle, not a diet program or workout session. Once you know what works best for you, it becomes a habit rather than a program or workout session. Usually, workouts go for 20 minutes to one hour. Instead of exercising one hour, try exercising for 30 minutes and do intense workouts. You will burn the same amount of calories you would have burned in 45 minutes workout, in less time. Your workout should consist of treadmill interval training, rather than slow cardio. Research showed more weight loss occurs when people use intervals, which take half the time. Include speed, incline and power walking to your workout, to maximize your weight loss. Research shows with interval training, you can burn twice as many as calories, than you would in a 45 minute workout. This is a great way to save time. Remember the key to succeed in interval training is to build up your fitness level, so you can move faster and burn more calories. Don’t settle with a slow pace; try to push your self to the limit, until you can barely take it. Words of advice: don’t forget to consult with your treadmill trainer or physician, to work out what is the best workout program for you. |
